Tired of making the same type of rice for every occasion, today on the recipe list, I offer you my homemade Apple fried Rice.
As simple as it sounds, apple fried rice is just a type of fried rice made of apple and vegetables. you can always customize it to your taste by adding any type of seasoning or meat. As you already know, all my meals are homemade and healthy.
Slice your fresh apples and extract the juice. You can use any type or quantity of apple according to the taste or the size you want. Remember to keep some sliced/chunk of apples for the cooking.
In a heated pan, add your apple juice and some seasoning for taste. in my video, I added some salt, some dry rosemary, and some seasoning cubes. I also added some vegetable oil and my pre-washed rice. Depending on the quantity of rice you are cooking and the amount of apple juice already added, you can add some water. Do not add too much water to avoid having a bowl of soggy rice. Steer and leave the mixture on medium heat.
While the rice is cooking, we will get the other ingredients ready.
In a heated pan, i added some oil. Once the oil is hot, add your clean prawns and steer to make sure it doesn’t stick to the pan. Remember the chunk of apples, add them to your prawns and keep steering. Let it boil for few minutes to allow the juice to come out and the apple to caramelize.
Add some onions and some habanero pepper (optional) depending on how spicy or hot you want your ingredients. Now I am adding my mixed vegetables and let it stir-fry. don’t let it overcook as we will be adding it to the rice.
